Song Joong-ki to appear on “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator” – First variety show appearance in 9 years
According to broadcasting circles on Dec 9th, Song Joong-ki will participate as a guest in the second recording of JTBC’s variety show “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator since 2014” (hereafter referred to as “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator”). The episode is scheduled to air on Dec 29th.
This marks Song Joong-ki’s first full-fledged variety show appearance in about nine years. While he has made brief special appearances in VCR interviews, his last official guest appearance on a domestic variety show was in January 2016, when he joined soccer player Park Ji-sung for the Shanghai special of SBS’s “Running Man”.
Fans are curious to see if this episode will delve into Song Joong-ki’s life as a father of two. Last year, he married British actress Katy Louise Saunders, welcoming their first son shortly after. Recently, the couple shared the joyous news of the birth of their second child, a daughter.
Actor Lee Hee-joon will also appear as a guest on the same episode. Known for his witty presence on shows like tvN’s “Amazing Saturday” and ENA’s “Hyun Moo Kase” this year, Lee Hee-joon’s entertaining performance is highly anticipated for “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator”.

“Please Take Care of My Refrigerator” originally aired from 2014 to 2019, sparking a nationwide trend for “chef-tainer” (chef-entertainer) shows. The program’s unique concept of creating dishes within 15 minutes using ingredients from the guest’s refrigerator gained widespread popularity.
Revived for its 10th anniversary, “Please Take Care of My Refrigerator” will return with its first episode on Dec 15th. Season 1’s chefs, including Lee Yeon-bok, Choi Hyun-seok, Jung Ho-young and Kim Poong, will be joined by “Culinary Class Wars” contestants Edward Lee, Choi Kang-rok, Lee Mi-young and Yoon Nam-no for thrilling culinary battles.
